The Association for Bahá'í Studies at McGill University (ABS) is an organisation founded to promote academic inquiry into religious, ethical and moral responses to the social crises threatening our society. With specific emphasis on the teachings, history and philosophy of the Bahá'í Faith, we focus on overcoming the antagonism, injustice, and partisan interests that act as barriers to a prosperous and united world.

The ABS seeks to provide a forum for students of all races, colours, classes, nationalities and religions to discuss the urgent issues facing society today. As bleak as the picture may sometimes look, we see exhilarating potential for positive change on our rapidly uniting globe. We invite everyone to bring their personal experience and viewpoints to our ongoing effort to apply Bahá'í principles to real world problems. We strive to achieve our vision by hosting, inter alia, lectures, roundtable discussions, symposia, conferences and workshops. We also make efforts in strengthening bonds of friendship and community by organising a wide range of social and service outings.
